  1. Leica M10 Monochrom with APO-Summicron-M 90mm ASPH.
  2. I've tried the Elpro a while back on arrival (not sure which) on M10M with APO-90 with great success.

  6. Hello everyone, I've got a M10 Monochrom and can't but help notice colour filters on the M10M are a lot more subtle than when used on my film bodies with TRI-X or FP4+. Am I crazy or is this actually the case. My assumption is that this is because of the reduced dynamic range of the film stock versus the sensor of the M10M. On film I often just use a yellow or orange filter and on digital I feel I lean toward red more often. On a side note, does anyone know the spectral response of the Leica Monochrom bodies, does it vary between the various models M9M, M246, M10M, M11M, Q2M? Thanks!
  7. The S2, S2-P, S (Typ 006) and S-E (Typ 006) all have the same sensor. Between the S2 and S (Typ 006) there are some improvements in the analog digital converters and thus a bit better ISO can be squeezed out of the same sensor. The S (Typ 006) has a more modern user interface, and in general has some quality of life improvements over the S2. Sensors: YES they can corrode like the M9. There is no 'button dance' available to figure out what sensor you have, Leica can tell you based on the serial number if the sensor was replaced. If it was replaced in 2016 then it can be a new old sensor, or a new new sensor. And in that year they need to get the camera shipped in to figure out what sensor you have built in. You can read all about it in my Article: "Leica S-E (Typ 006 seven years later". Its a 'review' I wrote after owning the camera for a long time. https://jipvankuijk.nl/leica-s-e-typ-006-seven-years-later/ Seeing how u bought a SL2-S it seems you're looking to buy something new, rather than buy something specific. 🤣 Since a SL2-S is exactly what u said you do not wish for: a computer. TLDR: Yes sensors do corrode, get an S (Typ 006) or S-E (Typ 006) not an S2/S2-P for quality of life improvements.
  8. I'm a big fan of the Elpro-S 180 for my APO-Elmar 180 on the Leica S, and that made me decide to get these ELPROs for M and R usage... but I didn't research much before buying 🤣 the link @jankap provided makes me understand with what lenses it'll work best.
  9. I am thinking of using them on my APO-Summicron-M 90mm lens to take close up pictures of flowers for example. I think Elpro 3 or Elpro 4 will work best, based on the pdf @jankap provided. Alternatively I can use it on my Leica Summicron-R 50mm of course.
  10. Hello everyone, I've gotten a set of Elpro 1, 2, 3, and 4 in E55 size. Part numbers: Elpro 1 - 16541 Elpro 2 - 16542 Elpro 3 - 16543 Elpro 4 - 16544 Now I am wondering what they are for, I can find information about them being for the Summicron-R 50mm, I have this lens so could try it out. But what I can't easily find is what is the difference between the Elpros, and if you can stack them, and what other lenses they could work on. etc. etc. When googling about them I can't find much information about them at all. Does anyone have an original brochure about them, where Leica tells us what are they for and how are we supposed to use them? And with what lenses etc. Could I for example use them/some/one of them on a M lens like a Summilux-M 50mm or similar with a step up ring. Any direction into information about the Elpros would be appreciated. For example, sales brochure, LFI articles, or forum articles. Thank you!
