Use a Voigtlander 40mm viewfinder on the hot-shoe?

One of these is a genuine OEM Leica battery, I purchased about 2 years ago, the other I'm not so sure about. I can't remember which is which. Please help identify the OEM battery - A or B?

Anyone got some shots from the the 50/1.1 Nokton & M8 I'd love to see the difference

I had the Canon 1.2 ltm on the M8 before, I ended up selling it which I regret now and wouldn't mind trying to get another one, the images have a vintage/classic rendering, not sharp as a tack at 1.2, mine wasn't anyway but the fall off of focus on the images was beautiful, especially for portraits and the 66mm works in it's favour here , worst aspect was the size and weight, for street it's too heavy, I ended up leaving the camera at home way too often. UPDATE - Good news, it's fixed. I look the battery and sd card out for an hour or so and when I put it them back in everything was back working again... maybe it had become a little confused, happens to all of us with age apparently ;-)

Thanks Pete, I don't think it's the shutter because the stutter still works perfectly when the auto timer is used, I think it's something to do with the button itself.

I don't have a soft release so I can't try that I'm afraid - i think I'll have to bring it into my nearest leica store, really hope that don't have to send it off to wetzlar

Hi - I found a strange problem on my M8.2 last night, the shutter release button stopped working, i.e. it won't fire the shutter. All other buttons, menus etc are working fine and if the shutter is set to the timer it counts down 10 seconds and fires the shutter, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the stutter... just the shutter release button. Any ideas on what the issue might be? Thanks :-)

Totally agree about the Summicron-c 40mm (or the Minolta M-Rokkor 40mm version) perfect lens on the M8, amazing quality, perfect size...
