  1. I think you will find that Leica digital most reflects Kodachrome. As proof take your digital picture and apply a Kodachrome look through whatever you use (Lightroom, CaptureOne, etc). You will see the least change to Kodachrome 25 vs any other. Up to you whether that's a good thing or not, but that is what it is. Now, whether Leica tweeks the software for camera sold in Asia to a different look, I do not know. I buy the camera in NYC.
  2. Sometimes it fails to connect, CaptureOne says the problem is the SD card could be too full. I have put an empty card and it works -- for a while. What really needs to happen is take the card and put it back in again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Very frustrating during a shoot to have that fail. Any words of advice? Second unrelated point. The camera sometimes freezes in studio, when there is a remote trigger. Will not shoot, have to take battery out and put back in. Never have that problem outside. Thoughts? More interested in anyone's answers regarding the tether question. Thanks in advance.
  3. I use the 80R on my SL2-S for portraits in studio -- it is a great lens (also use on my R6.2). One of the few lenses I would never part with. I tend not to walk around with because it is heavy. So, it goes with me for a specific task, but stays home on trips and walkabouts.

  5. Had a CL for a few years. Always with M lenses. Loved it but needed to swap into a full frame sensor. Got an SL2-S. Which Is great for studio work. BUT I miss the CL for a walk about when I do not want to shoot film. Am I nuts for wanting to get back to a CL?
  6. Any thoughts on IPS monitors made by ASUS?

  11. My biggest issue with MDC is the agitation. MDC has it continuous for the first minute, and then 4x for the first 10sec of the following minutes (starting min 2). Ilford has it 4X in first 10sec of each minute. Kodak is 4x every 30sec. I ignore MDC on the agitation.
  12. Thanks! I have downloaded DaVinci Resolve, and I can't seem to be able to do any color grading or editing. Perhaps I am using a version of "film" from the Leica where I need a paid version?
