  1. Thank you for posting about EVF Extended I will use this from now on. regards Paul
  2. Hi All, As a glasses wearer and SL2 user, I also have this issue when the camera is held vertically. I wonder if anyone has heard of any firmware update or anything else that can be done to stop the EVF going off?
  3. Thanks for the link. I enjoyed the video. It was refreshing to see the photo journalist be so rational about image quality. I not sure he was correct about the better dynamic range of the Nikon though ...?
  4. Hi would you mind doing a test where you tilt the camera on three axis to look at distortion. Ie. Say you are looking directly at a wall tilt the cameras down then to the left or right. I'm interested to see his the Q compares to the summicron in terms of bending vertical lines to the edges of the frame. I would test it myself but my cron is broken. Thanks Paul
  5. Hello, I'm the OP on Dpreview that Louis forwarded. I wrote to my Leica dealer about the problem and they said that they would replace the glass but could not do it straight away. They also reported the problem to Germany. I suspect they may be being a little optimistic as the glass / acrylic does not seem to be that easy to replace. We will see.... Paul
  6. Here's mine, a couple of which I have also posted on DPR. I think the second shows the sharpness of the lens very well. L1020133.jpg by Paul M2012, on Flickr Regards, L1020710.jpg by Paul M2012, on Flickr
  7. One of the cons listed against the new Monochrom camera is that it is "Limited to monochrome". That's like saying - I love my pet dog but it's not very good at being a cat.
  8. sillbeers15, Leica make fantastic lenses and cameras, which i love. Leica do not make a good tilt and shift lens. Canon do make a good tilt and shift lens. Commercial architectural photography requires a t/s. thus the dilemma.... Paul
  9. Thanks Tom, I looked a the Super PC-SUPER-ANGULON a while ago. Its a nicely made lens, unfortunately I found there was too much distortion to use it professionally. I have decided to go with a Sony A7r and a Canon T/S 24mm LII. The lens is not manual but its is very good. The A7r looks like a good machine albeit "ergonomically challenged". I just need to find some compatible wide M lenses to use with it now, which is proving harder than I had hoped... Thanks to all on this thread who have given advice. I really appreciate it and I will post some results in due course. Many thanks Paul
  10. Flashgordon, Why do you say the A7 and not A7R? The A7R has no AA filter.... Thank you Paul
