  1. I aiways liked the GMP grips, secondhand really cheap and well made,
  2. film picker things can cause light leaks, I would think it could be that.
  3. I've changed a few myself easy job the mounts are only £10 ish so worth a try, any new lens mount will have sharp edges.
  4. I had a Df and thought it was a great camera, not as small as film Nikon but much smaller than most high end DSLRs, didn't feel cheap and was a great walk around camera.
  5. Not my video but if you watch this you can see the shims
  6. From memory there is brass shims at the front of the lens these can be added or taken out to adjust the focus point, I had to adjust a pre asph Summilux 35mm (different lens but same principle) a few years ago after two shops failed to repair it,
  7. I thought the lugs were more like a rivet right through the shell of the camera thats why they sometimes leak light, did you fill the hole ? almost looks like there is some glue in the hole ? Can we see the lug. Cheers
  8. Buy the mounts and swap them over if they are no good it doesn't really matter as the mounts are so cheap, when I had a few M lenses before just sticking with the 35mm focal length swapped all of them 28 Summicron, 35 Summicron V4, 50 Summicron, 50 Summilux and 90 Summicron. When changing them just don't go about it like a caveman ! Good luck
  9. I can't recommend Aperture but my local camera repair person camaratiks in Edinburgh fixed a M4p where the shutter was totally seized for £150 a few year ago, the last repair they did for me was on a Canon New F1 with a faulty shutter which I would imagine is a much bigger job than working on an M6 for £130 with 6 months warranty, they normally only need a couple of weeks not months.
  10. Here is a original M4, not a great pic but you get the idea.
  11. Just turn the rewind knob back to take the slack out before the nest shot, that will tell you if there is a problem.
  12. nikon f3 50mm 1.8 ais, if it had to be a Leica then my M4 and pre asph summilux.
