  1. Hi - thank you for your feedbacks. An update: I went to my local Leica dealer and he assured me that the lens comes with a more or less loose filter thread that tightens onto the lens once a filter is attached. All is well now and both parts are as tight as can be, locked firmly in place. Niels...
  2. Sorry, the APO Summicron-M 1:2,0/75 ASPH, 6-bit coded version.
  3. Hi everybody, I need some help /advice: I just changed the UVa filter on the lens (bought second hand with a Leica UVa on the lens). When unscrewing the filter it turned out that the filter thread is a separate loose metal part, supposed to be pressed onto the lens. There is no fixed thread underneath the loose part. I would have expected the thread to be a fixed part of the lens. Is the loose thread a normal detail of this specific lens? The lens performs so well, love it to pieces, but would like it to be technically in good shape. I know help is somewhere out there in Leica Forum and I can't thank you enough
  4. Hi Tony, which lenses did you use for the set? I'm guessing 75 mm...or 50...but I could be totally wrong, happens quite often...

  6. Thanks, Archiver, Herve5, and Infiniumguy, it is always good with different ways to go. I usualy bring several empty memory cards and only use them once for future safekeeping. To be extra safe and not sorry I will like to have an additional archiving when travelling. I must take a closer look at the OTG and also Nexto CF ways. I appreciate the good help with my small problem from you all, thank you so much
  7. Thanks Herve5, I'll try to use the phone/external disk solution. I know there is - or once were, maybe 3 years ago - a mobile disk/device with card slots and a small screen to view all your saved pictures. Forgot the name, though. Never mind, I've got a phone and soon also an external disk. Thanks again for answering
  8. Hello to all... I need help to figure out if it is possible to store my Q pictures on a mobile hard disc when travelling. No PC/ Mac, just the Q, a USB cable and a small hard disc. I've read about Freecom MG Mobile, but maybe it needs a go-between PC/Mac, info is scarce and shops can sell sand in Sahara Any ideas out there, please? Niels...
  9. Mine is fitted with an Arca Swiss to be used with my Gitzo monopod. I imagine that all makes and plates can fit with no worries. I take it that that is what you asked about

  11. I use a small Billingham insert in a small reporter bag, and a stiff leather wrist lanyard from Fast + Prime connected to a Black Rapid FastenR Hitch: FAST+PRIME- HAND-SEWN CASES FOR LEICA | Mono Wrist Lanyard Best regards from Niels...
  12. With regards to the 18/3,8 I have had no problems at all. Buy the lens and the proper Leica filter to go with it, and off you go.
