  1. Surely it’s just easier to connect the phone to the computer and press the import button in Lightroom.
  2. If you select ‘most compatible’ in camera settings photos will be saved JPEGs.
  3. No problem importing from an iPhone, but the phone must be connected and unlocked before it will appear as an ‘import from’ device.
  4. So did I. You used to get 5 mins or so before edited appeared below the post.
  5. Be aware that if you use 3rd party plugins they may not be available when running natively. I use the Exposure film plugin, it’s there if I’m running Photoshop under Rosetta, but disappears if I run Photoshop natively. Exposure have confirmed this is an issue with the plugin and will be releasing an updated version soon.
  6. I use the multifunctional handgrip on my M240. My only complaint is that it’s slow to get the first GPS ‘lock’ of the day.
  7. Thanks, I’ve been looking for something to that for a while. I tested it on a formatted card and it recovered almost all of the photos. This was on an M1 Mac Mini.
  8. The Lightroom that runs natively is the newer cloud based version. Lightroom Classic currently runs under emulation, but that should change later this year.
  9. It loads like manure off a shovel. The problem running it natively is that it doesn’t show a couple of my plugins. I need to investigate that, but if I switch back to running under Rosetta they’re still there.
  10. With a few caveats... https://www.macrumors.com/2021/03/10/photoshop-apple-silicon-support/
  11. I’ve considered buying Affinity Photo in the past, but am concerned that there’s be functionally missing that I’d want - even though I only use a tiny fraction of what Photoshop can do.
  12. I still have a mixture of admiration and horror about that mixed grill. I reckon it could have fed a family of four for a week. Once the current horror is over I’ll try to organise another seaside challenge in Blackpool.
  13. It’s probably best to save New Brighton for those special moments.
