  1. Would be an extra battery in external grip p/n 16 063 be enough for your purpose?
  2. They teach you not to run in the straight line in the army as moving target is harder to hit. Obviously it applies to photography as well.
  3. Two entirely different cameras. Hasselblad ‘compactness’ it is that compact is it?
  4. 4 to 6 weeks is not too bad, some years ago I have waited several months for a 1.4/50 Summilux M.
  5. My suggestion is to get a SL and a SL24-90, do not compromise using all sorts of adapters and third party lenses you would be missing on many features that SL and native SL lenses combine have. Sell some of the Nikon lenses that you have to part finance Leica.
  6. I would not be interested in SL monochrome, when I was into B&W photography some years ago I used Sigma DP2 Merrill and the output was stunning. All for about AUD 500.
  7. SL Elmarit 2.8/135 would be just right to keep weight and size to acceptable levels as you state. I have been using Nikkor 2.8/135 Ais that I purchased about 25 years ago via Leica / Novoflex adapter on my SL and I am quite happy with its image quality, but auto focus and IS would be welcome.
  8. SL Prime 2/135 AF? I am very happy with my SL and an SL24-90mm lens. I addition to that I would like to have a SL 2/135 AF, but it is not on Leica SL-System Lens Roadmap (as yet). I do not want to go for SL90-280 as nice as this lens is. Do you think that Leica will eventually introduce a135mm lens or should I try other option available now Nikon or Canon AF lens via adapter?
  9. I love my SL with SL 24-90 and M lenses via M to L Leica adapter, but this setup is use for more ‘serious’ photography. For walkabout and touristy travel I take my Fujifilm X-Pro2 with native 2/35 and an 18-55 Fujinon.
  10. Hi Gordon, It is a bit confusing, Technical data Sheet for M Lenses that I own and use now on SL via adapter: 1.4/50 states Entrance pupil: 25.7mm (related to the first lens surface in light direction). For M 2.0/75 30.1mm (related to the first lens surface in light direction). For M 2.8/28 ASPH. it states: Entrance pupil for bayonet: 11.8mm. Perhaps it should read from (typo?) bayonet. And now the SL 24-90 Entrance pupil is measured from the bayonet, good to know that. I purchased this lens only recently and I am very happy with it. vlad.ik
  11. Yes, I want to use my LS-24-90 to setup for panorama photography.
  12. After reading of your misfortune eleven24 as an exercise (I guess I have nothing better to do) I have cut a piece on 2mm Perspex and stuck it over the top display of my SL. Does not look very elegant, but I am leaving it on for the time being.
  13. FYI: Replay to my question re. SL 24-90 entrance pupil - I have contacted Leica Technical Department and received following reply: The distance in the technical sheet is between the entrance pupil and the bayonet.
  14. As an aside, the dealer was enthusiastic about the neat battery engagement, unaware that it was used on the S many years ago, and now the SL. Same system of battery engagement is used on my Stihl leaf blower and many other appliances.
