I thought I had posted this on the old forum but couldn't find it when searching.

 

Anyway, this was my first 'proper' attempt at a landscape and was looking for all and any advice. Please feel free to dig in (I won't be offended)...

certainly not your last, I hope. I think this is rather good, you've captured a good range of tones in the image with the darker foreground contributing well to the depth of the shot.

I hope not too...though I will need to find inspiration closer to home (this was taken on our honeymoon to indonesia).

seeing your bw shot i thought that must have been kodak bw 400 cn. very fine tones. nice. did you take that in b&w mode or did you photoshop?

Converted in photoshop. Actually, I used an action that I have been playing with to attempt to create rich mid tones. It's a touch dramatic (!) but it suits this shot well I think.
