phovsho Posted November 12, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 12, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I'm thinking about a case for my M3. I have sent a number of emails to Luigi in the past and we just don't seem to be able to hook up. So I'm now looking at alternatives. Has anyone tried Kameraleder cases? Do they fit the M3? Any comments or observations vis-a-vis Luigi cases? Best Murray

wizard Posted November 12, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 12, 2008 Has anyone tried Kameraleder cases? Do they fit the M3? Any comments or observations vis-a-vis Luigi cases? I am pretty sure that Kameraleder does cases for the M3. If they are anything near as good as my IIIg case I have from Kameraleder, they will be perfect. From what I have seen, the craftsmanship of the Kameraleder cases is higher than those from Luigi. Kameraleder employs thicker leather and the entire construction looks more robust to me. And the SMELL of the Kameraleder leather is just fabulous. Amongst all the cases I own, and that includes various original Leica cases, too, the Kameraleder case is the best. Don't rule out Leica's current leather cases though, I think they are frequently underrated. Cheers, Andy
phovsho Posted November 12, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted November 12, 2008 Thanks Andy. Out of interest, is your Kameraleder case black? I'm not sure how up to date their website is, but it looks like they only do black. Finally, have you tried the Kameraleder straps? Thanks again M
wizard Posted November 12, 2008 Share #4 Posted November 12, 2008 Yes, mine is black. And yes, I bought a Kameraleder strap with it. Beautiful, too. Durable but still flexible leather and a tapered portion where it would contact your shoulder or neck. I can recommend it. Andy
R.Morrison Posted November 13, 2008 Share #5 Posted November 13, 2008 I too have tried kameralder and have found the half-case and the strap for my M4-P to be nothing short of excellent. They are somewhat expensive (as is a Leica). George is somewhat unbusinesslike (make that a-businesslike) though a very genuine person and a joy with whom to deal. And as for the olfactory delight experienced when raising the leather-clad Leica to your eye ...well, that has already been mentioned. R. www.rolleica.cn Posted March 13, 2016 Share #6 Posted March 13, 2016 Does anyone have Kameraleder's contact? I can't find their email etc. I want to order a case from them. Thanks Doug
Sandokan Posted April 17, 2016 Share #7 Posted April 17, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I looked at their supposed web site http://kameraleder.com/ but it seems to have been hijacked by someone selling bridal gowns.
