Tim B Posted October 22, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Is anyone using Vuescan to scan Fuji PRO400H? One of the less satisfactory aspects of this excellent scanning program is matching colour neg emulsions' base colour filtering. I've found using the Fuji PRO160 and the other Fuji neg settings unsatisfactory. The generic setting gets me closest and then it is a bit of a tussle to get good colour. I get closer colour in Silverfast, but prefer Vuescan for other reasons. Does anyone have any advice? Is there a way of reading base colour to make a new profile in Vuescan? Thanks for any help, Tim

Sery Posted October 22, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 22, 2008 Same problem here but I am going to try this soon as suggested by the link below.... Better colour neg scanning with VueScan. | Urban Motion
Tim B Posted October 22, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted October 22, 2008 Sery, Thanks for that link - I've had a quick look and it seems an excellent help. Some of the less intuitive quirks of Vuescan my poor brain finds quite obscure to work through and the Urban Motion site is really clear. Thanks again, and for your really quick response!
