likealot Posted April 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 15, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just got a Lexar Professional 64gb 1000x Sd card and have tried it with my Q. To my surprise this card is slower than my previous card which is a SanDisk Extreme Pro 16gb. The Lexar is 150Mb/s whereas the SanDisk is 95Mb/s. How can it be possible? beez Posted April 15, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 15, 2017 I just got a Lexar Professional 64gb 1000x Sd card and have tried it with my Q. To my surprise this card is slower than my previous card which is a SanDisk Extreme Pro 16gb. The Lexar is 150Mb/s whereas the SanDisk is 95Mb/s. How can it be possible? They're probably transferring at about the same speed, because the Q's maximum bus speed from the SD card is only UHS-I rated (max 95MB/s) and not UHS-II (140-150MB/s). You can use a UHS-II card in the camera, but it's speed is limited by the camera's native bus speed. I'd advise saving your money, and using high-speed rated UHS-I cards.
likealot Posted April 15, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted April 15, 2017 Ah, that explains it. In that case I'm sending it back and might get a couple of SanDisk ExtremePro 32gb UHC-I instead.
