24 35 42 u 50 Summar 24mm adapter too wide for L39?

A Summar 24mm macro lens arrived in an adapter marked 24 35 42 u 50 to use on a Bellows II that also arrived.

The vendor said that the adapter is L39 screw mount for use on bellows.

But this adapter does not fit my Bellows II 16590N adapter or my various L39 adapters.

I realize that threads can sometimes be tricky and have tried this adapter more than once. It does not seem to fit.

The threads on this 24 35 42 u 50 adapter come out to a little more than 38mm on jeweler's caliper. My screw mount lens threads come out to a little more than 37mm.  So a millimeter off.

Could this adapter be for another purpose than L39?

I have same adaptor for Summar 42mm.

Custom made 39mm (and M) to 40mm to mount for photographic use.

Very good lens, flat field for slide copy, in my case.

The lens side is RMS and the other side is not common "40mm x 0.75mm"  for  Leitz  Photar or Summar.

Have a look in link below:

On line RMS adapter found here (not what I use):

Thanks so much for all the detail and the links!!!

Available adapters is great.

A reason to keep the Bellows II!

Do you use the 42mm lens to copy 35mm slides?
