fotofool Posted March 28, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted March 28, 2017 Almost to perfect ! I think it will work in black & white great too ! Indeed, and thank you. But I like the contrast of warm interior colors with cool exterior colors. I think it is part of the picture's "story." ldhrads Posted March 29, 2017 Share #7 Posted March 29, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I agree that it works in B&W, however, you are absolutely correct that the contrast of warm/cool colors does this photo the most justice! Great work Indeed, and thank you. But I like the contrast of warm interior colors with cool exterior colors. I think it is part of the picture's "story." MaticB Posted March 29, 2017 Share #8 Posted March 29, 2017 Color version is the one, I prefer! Meanwhile, what is the green cast on her right palm? Matic
fotofool Posted March 30, 2017 Author Share #9 Posted March 30, 2017 (edited) Color version is the one, I prefer! Meanwhile, what is the green cast on her right palm? Matic Good question Matic, I'm not sure. I suppose it is probably a side effect of the tone mapping algorithm in Aurora HDR. There seems to be a sort of red/green split toning effect on her skin in the highlights/shadows. If I had been paying more attention I would have smoothed it out in Lightroom with a color brush. Come to think of it, I wonder if it is related to the M240's green shadow defect which Leica never saw fit to correct with a firmware update. StS Posted March 31, 2017 Share #10 Posted March 31, 2017 Both versions are indeed excellent. Applied only lightly, HDR can be a very capable technique. Stefan
