Since today the eye-sensor does not work. I tried everything, from reset to change batteries, settings... if I select the EVF mode only it works, so it is really the eye-sensor that does not work.

Anyone experienced this?

Any clue?

Thanks...

I called Leica, within 10 days when back to mine (I am actually travelling in the north of my country) I will send it to them. They said it would take about 4/5 weeks to send it back...

I think this is the right thing to do.

Why on earth would it take that long to get it fixed? It's not like Leica have a huge number of cameras that go back for repair?

I live in Portugal. The only Leica store in the country is 600km away from me, I have to post them the Q. And they send items to be repaired to Germany...

I seem to recall that I sent my X Vario directly to Leica Germany with my dealers agreement. All documentation was emailed to me. All I had to do was print it out and hand it to the Leica arranged courier. It was returned directly to me. See if that is an option for you. It would save a little time.

I meant to add that my instinct is that this is not a fault. I have set my Q for EVF-only operation by default; for a trial period. Menu and replay go directly to the LCD. In a way it is simulating how an M model works, the one without a monitor. Only when I am taking close-ups do I revert to viewing on the LCD. It is quite liberating when out and about.
