ohsmen Posted February 16, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) After I disconnected m9 from the computer, it could not be turned on. The only way to turn on it is to take out and reload the battery. Does anyone know this problem? Thank you.

Robert M Poole Posted February 16, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 16, 2017 Sorry to be no help but I never connect my cameras to the computer. I read once that the safest option for transfer is to use a card reader so have always done that. www.robertpoolephotography.com
pico Posted February 16, 2017 Share #4 Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) You might have the connection mode set to PTP. At least on my older Mac the camera cannot be dismounted (ejected) when in PTP. If you are in USB Mass storage mode you should get a warning if you do not dismount the camera properly. (control-click on the icon or drag it to the trash to eject.) Pages 70 to 73 of the instructions discusses this for Macs and Windows computers. Were making pictures using tether? If not, then set the camera to Mass Storage. It is in the camera's menu under USB connection. Press the Set button to change. Copying the M9 instructions to your computer to read and especially search is very handy.
