The Tagong Monastery is located at 3,700m high up in the Western Sichuan plateau. Here I saw a group of Tibetans dancing just outside of the monastery. M240 w/WATE.

lovely light & use of the WATE.

Yes, there is a 'purity' to the colours at this high altitude. The air is very clean and unpolluted as well. Yes, I decided to use the WATE to cover a wider angle to include the environment. Thanks for the comments.

Lovely.  We experienced similar light in the Anapurna in Nepal.

I have been to a few places above 3,000m and with clear sky the colours are very captivating. Of course, at this altitude, the lack of oxygen could be a problem. Thanks for the comment.

The dry clear atmosphere lets the colours shine and provide an almost surreal feeling.

Hi Iduna,

Yes, the colours appear to 'pop' more than usual, especially the sky. I have seen similar colours in very low humidity environment, such as deserts as well. Thanks for the comments.
