Kittikornt Posted February 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 9, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi guru. I just got new Leica Q Titanium this evenin in Germany and I tried to use it till battery was flat out. After recharging the battery I can still use it for awhile. Then I started to see white dots on the screen and it spread almost entire screen. They are not dead pixels because when I press menu, I can see menu perfectly. I put the photo here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxO_jd3TcvvxZ3ZQZUdkeVdPRU0 Could you please help? I am going back to my country so I cannot go back to the shop I bought. Many thanks! Cheers, KT

viramati Posted February 9, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 9, 2017 something definitely not right. If you can get into the menu have you tried doing a full reset? Have you tried a different card?
earleygallery Posted February 9, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2017 Return it immediately for a replacement camera, not a repair!
Kittikornt Posted February 10, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted February 10, 2017 I tried full reset, it doesn't help. I haven't tried another card which I will do soon. I cannot really go back to the shop because I need to fly back to my country
Kittikornt Posted February 10, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted February 10, 2017 By the way, it happens on and off. Sometimes it is okay when I switched on. Most of the time it is not okay.
jaapv Posted February 10, 2017 Share #6 Posted February 10, 2017 It is broken. The shop should replace it. If you cannot get to the shop you will have to use UPS.
Voxen Posted February 10, 2017 Share #7 Posted February 10, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is it during playback or live view? If only playback it may just be a defective SD card issue.
Kittikornt Posted February 10, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted February 10, 2017 Both playback and live view. But it is okay when I press menu.
matlep Posted February 10, 2017 Share #9 Posted February 10, 2017 How does it look if you take out the card and turn on the camera?
pop Posted February 10, 2017 Share #10 Posted February 10, 2017 The camera is defective. Kaputt. Ring the dealer where you bought it. Are there any dealers at all where you live? Perhaps the dealer where you bought it or Leica Camera AG can make some deal where a shop where you live can exchange your camera for a working one. Ohterwise, you'll have to send it in. Bad luck. Kittikornt Posted February 10, 2017 Author Share #12 Posted February 10, 2017 Thanks guys. Very much appreciated. I contacted the shop in Hamburg he also asked me to go back to his shop to get replacement. Unfortunately I couldn't do that so he asked me to go to Singapore shop. He is not sure if I will get a replacement or not but at least I will get a service there. Just not my day I think. This is my first Leica
