I'm lucky to have the gorgeous Noctilux 0.95 lens and the first Leica Monochrom. Lately I noticed that there is a very slight bump feel between 1m and 1.2m. It is more noticeable when going from 1.2 to 1m. Can someone with Noctilux check please if he has the same feeling or is my lens problematic? Thanks. It seems that on my Noctilux there is a difference in focus ring resistance from 1m to the middle of 1m-1.2m and from that middle to the infinity. The first part feels lighter/easier to turn and the second part i a little more heavier to turn. Can you please check if you feel different resistance between those 2 ranges? It might just be some 'heavy' grease that needs to work itself into one of the helical threads a bit more and it may smooth out with more exercise. The Noctilux has a floating lens element and it is not uncommon for these lenses to focus a little on the stiff side. However, even if a little heavy, the focus resistance should be consistent throughout the range. If it doesn't clear up after a bit of focussing exercise I think you should consider having it looked at because it is something that Leica will be able to address and put right. Incidentally, what is the focussing like with the lens on the camera? Sometimes the focus can feel a little different off the camera. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
