thiagozt Posted February 4, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I am going to Italy and then Germany in a few weeks and I have been wondering if it it worth it buying an M6 TTL in Europe, specially Germany, over the US. Is it? Looking at e*bay the prices are very similar between US and Germany but a friend swore they were cheaper in Germany, around 800 euros... is that true? Any experience buying an M6 over there? thanks!
Advertisement Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Hi thiagozt, Take a look here How much for a M6 in Germany?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
SilentShutter Posted February 4, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 4, 2017 I think the prices raised up a little. But its just a feeling because I bought and sold Leicas for a long time now. Most of them used...... The time before Ebay I just have to look at the announces in the photo magazins and contact people by phone. Still possible that way : https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-leica-m/k0 Last week I bought a lens just a few minutes away from my hometown. Great price and awsome shape ! Wish you luck ! duckrider Posted February 5, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 5, 2017 800.-€ is for a +/- worn M6, ~1000 for a nice one. TTL approx 100€ higher. But mention warranty or when technical problems occur and You're back home. I'd prefer to buy local or minimum in the home country. thiagozt Posted February 5, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted February 5, 2017 €1100 for a M6 TTL in nice condition is not bad. Do you guys have any recommendations of stores? Where would you buy them?
Paulus Posted February 6, 2017 Share #5 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) Leica bei Meister is very good. In München, Berlin and Hamburg. Also in Düsseldorf , Foto Leistenschneider has very nice occasions. You can google them. https://www.meister-camera.com/de/gebraucht/7104/leica-m6-schwarz Edited February 6, 2017 by Paulus

jensthoes Posted February 26, 2017 Share #9 Posted February 26, 2017 Hey, do you mind sharing where you got it from? I am in Italy now but will be in Germany in about 2 weeks... …kleinanzeigen.ebay.de - 30 km from my home. Best, Jens
thiagozt Posted February 26, 2017 Author Share #10 Posted February 26, 2017 …kleinanzeigen.ebay.de - 30 km from my home. Best, Jens Hey, sorry for the dumb question but I don't speak german and I was wondering what kleinanzeigen.ebay.de is exactly. I am very familiar with ebay and have used it A LOT over the years but there's nothing like "kleinanzeigen.ebay" in the Americas... Is it a local listing website? that's what it looks like to me. Just trying to understand it... thanks!
Fotoklaus Posted February 27, 2017 Share #11 Posted February 27, 2017 I think it´s called classified advertisement? People offer their stuff to other people, private to private person. Where will you stay in germany? Of course there are a lot of well known dealers beside the official leica dealers, who offer used cameras. Because I am tight on time and the language barrier, I think the best thing is to go to a physical store and get instead of contacting someone over the internet etc... You might also consider buying an M6 instead of the TTL version unless you need TTL flash metering! Best Theodor
