sblutter Posted February 4, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I really don't like model #12526 - covers up too much VF space I've got a bunch of others - wondering which is your favorite? Thanks
Advertisement Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Hi sblutter, Take a look here Summi 35mm 2.0 ASPH - hood question on M240. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted February 4, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 4, 2017 (edited) 12524... which I think is practically identical, in size, to 12526; btw, I have also a 12504 (taken together with a Summilux 35) which fits also the Summicron.... but 12524 eats away less VF (though the vents of the 12504 make probably, strictly speaking, more visible area, but my global feeling is that with 12524 you "feel" better) : I doubt there is a better alternative for this problem... lct Posted February 5, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 5, 2017 12524 is very nice but provides too little shade for me. I prefer 12585 or 12585H (pic) hoods that i find even nicer on the 35/2 asph but this is a matter of tastes obviously. My favorite remains the regular 12526 anyway. YMMV. Welcome, dear visitor! sml_photo Posted February 6, 2017 Share #4 Posted February 6, 2017 I lost the hood that came with my Safari set. OUCH...very expensive to replace! So, I've been getting by with no hood for quite a while with no negative experiences. So far, so good! I even took off the hood for the 24mm and shot all day outside yesterday with no flare issues! Not what I expected.
