Did you know it ?

I got mine the funniest way : I was argumenting the Leitz origin of the "thing" as claimed by a dealer, when is table was surrounded by quite a few people. Finally, the guy grumbled : "OK, take it and please shut up and go away". Cheap...bu not worth much more.

I have a chrome VIDOM type viewfinder made by Amco but it is not like this one. Mine needs a bit of repair work, but it has a few features that I cannot follow include a knob to move between vertical and horizontal view and it may also have some system for making the image show the right way around rather than reversed as in Leica VIDOM finders. At the moment I have it working with a reversed image at 35mm. I am saving it up for a 'rainy day' repair job as I have a lot of other viewfinders in my collection. Any information on the Amco viewfinder would, however, be most welcome

Yes, the Vision was a copy of the Leitz VIDOM viewfinder.  Here is my copy along with some other copies of Leitz accessories, there were many more. The FULDY sliding focus copy attachment was copied by the "The Leica Ltd. Toyko", it is on the right. The PLOOT was copied by many including Kilfit, Cannon, Nikon and here I show the Reproflex by K. Moller jr (Germany).  On the left is a copy of the OORES rotating copy attachment. It is not marked, so I have not identified who made it, but likely they were from Japan.
