mmx_2 Posted January 20, 2017 Share #4 Posted January 20, 2017 I'm just curious to how good the EVF is... +1 here. I've played a bit with the X1D and the EVF was not very good in my opinion. On the other hand, I think we all are quite spoiled by the incredible OVF in the Leica S

xiaubauu2009 Posted January 31, 2017 Share #9 Posted January 31, 2017 Wanna know what's uglier? Sensor corrosion. I was being sarcastic as it is the only reply most other MF user can muster up, especially S user.

Paul J Posted February 1, 2017 Share #12 Posted February 1, 2017 (edited) OK, this is getting very interesting. Fuji GFX adapters for Leica M, Otus http://www.fujirumors.com/first-images-fujifilm-gfx-adapters-leica-m-zeiss-otus-mamiya-schneider-kreuznach-focal-plane-shutter-advantage/ Cameras being ugly is one thing. Functionality is another and this certainly makes it interesting. 85mm f1.4 Otus on Medium Format is very, VERY interesting. Welcome, dear visitor! Paul J Posted February 1, 2017 Share #13 Posted February 1, 2017 (edited) With this Summilux more vignetting but still very interesting. Welcome, dear visitor! Paul J Posted February 1, 2017 Share #14 Posted February 1, 2017 A Leica S adapter will certainly put a cat amongst the pigeons.
relms Posted February 2, 2017 Share #15 Posted February 2, 2017 A Leica S adapter will certainly put a cat amongst the pigeons. Agreed. Leica S glass mated with a 50MP sensor..... I am starting to pay attention.

The ultimate tilt/shift option. The ugly Fuji punim is looking a bit less so. Edited February 2, 2017 by Deliberate1
Paul J Posted February 2, 2017 Share #17 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) This Fuji is really starting to make more sense to me for what I need. With Otus lenses you get a 35mm equivalent of: Otus 28 - 21mm f1.1 Otus 55 - 43mm f1.1 Otus 85 - 67mm f1.1 Effectively a short tele, standard and wide Noctilux like lens. The 55 and 28 will need some cropping from vignetting but not much. I am really excited by this because it's everything I have been looking for, for a very long time. on top of that the Noctilux can be used on it too and I'm excited to see how that translates. Then having a system of AF lenses at hand for when it suits is brilliant. Edited February 2, 2017 by Paul J
Georges Posted February 2, 2017 Share #18 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) A Leica S adapter will certainly put a cat amongst the pigeons. Why would you want that? In order to have AF issues with the Fuji? LOL The Otus use is an interesting twist of history. Edited February 2, 2017 by Georges
Paul J Posted February 2, 2017 Share #19 Posted February 2, 2017 lol true.
xiaubauu2009 Posted February 2, 2017 Share #20 Posted February 2, 2017 Otus image circle is not large enough for the 44x33 sensor. The 28 will have huge vignette. 55 is kind of ok. 85 is perfect.
