What adapter are available?

It works fine..manual focus, manual aperture with the LET/NIK. Exif is "unknown lens".

Thank you for your information.

Is somebody using the 12-24 with the new Novoflex adapter.

Is for this extreme wide angle manual focus good enough?

You need to read/study the details more carefully: The 12-24 is a G lens, that does not work with the new AF adapter. (which is only for E lenses)

Simply try it (turn AF off on your Nikon camera), then you will see that manual focus is no problem.

I use the AF-S 2.8/17-35 and find it quite comfortable and do not miss AF.

Maybe your impression is different, so simply give it a try.   :)

Ah.. that's why I can't find this lens on their list. Thanks. Actually I want to learn if this lens performs well on the SL. Like on the D810...... or let's say not far away.

On my point of view performance ist better like on the D800 because of the lower resolution oft the CMOS. Just my two cents...

Wow.. I like to hear that, thanks. Can't wait to get the adapter. Is that your own experience or did you read about it somewhere?

Heiner, I am unclear what you mean? Both D800 and SL have CMOS sensors.

Instead of 'like' do you mean 'than'? 'Als' or 'wie so'?

The Nikon 58mm lens gives higher performance on a 810 on a tripod than on the SL on a tripod. No images to show though.

Manual focusing on the SL is better than manual focusing on any other camera.
