RayD28 Posted January 2, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 2, 2017 Nice photo. Were you exposed to getting soaked by that wave?
Shane Guthrie Posted January 2, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) Thanks everyone Yes, Ray, it was! I had to recover after almost every wave; they knocked me around a lot. The challenge next time is to be closer. This spot was more difficult than I had experienced elsewhere. Usually, water drops just slide off the lens with a gentle shake of the camera, but the drops here were very sticky. I wonder if there was a lot of sunscreen in the water and whether this greasiness would be enough to affect the lens. I don't wipe the lens, as there is lots of sand in the water. RayD28 Posted January 2, 2017 Share #5 Posted January 2, 2017 Brave man. I'll keep your shot in mind the next time I worry about a little spray on a lens.
