hoolyproductions Posted December 14, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I will be there for a couple of weeks and wonder if there is a place that develops and scans film. Any google searches give hits only for Panama City in Florida, whereas I am going to Panama City in Panama. Grateful for any pointers
Advertisement Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Hi hoolyproductions, Take a look here Film processing in Panama City?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
M9reno Posted December 14, 2016 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2016 I'd be very careful after bad experiences in nearby Colombia.
earleygallery Posted December 14, 2016 Share #3 Posted December 14, 2016 Why do you want to get the film processed whilst away? If you're worried about airport x-ray machines, don't be. Just keep your films in your hand luggage there and back, and process them when you get home. They'll be fine.
gbealnz Posted December 14, 2016 Share #4 Posted December 14, 2016 Why do you want to get the film processed whilst away? If you're worried about airport x-ray machines, don't be. Just keep your films in your hand luggage there and back, and process them when you get home. They'll be fine. This is what I seem to end up doing as well. Last year I came close to getting the exposed rolls of B&W processed as we traveled, but in the end bought them home, and did them myself. Next year I am sure I'll do the same. As James says the Airport X Ray damage is more hyped than actual, in my experience anyway. Gary
EoinC Posted December 14, 2016 Share #5 Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) I'm with all of the above - I travel frequently, keep my developed and undeveloped film (up to ISO 400) in carry-on, and have never had an issue with X-rays. If you are are determined to process locally, though, you could try the distributor listed by Fujifilm: Farmacia Arrocha, S.A. Business Field(s): Photographic Film and Paper, Film Cameras, Photofinishing Products Address: Urbanizacion Industrial Los Angeles, Calle Harry Eno, Panama, Rep. De Panama Tel: 507-279-9000 Edited December 14, 2016 by EoinC
