brill64 Posted December 11, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) one of the best times to visit Angkor Wat is from around 5am to 9am when the moon is setting, to watch the sunrise & it's cool. after this it gets extremely busy & hot to explore. Doc748 Posted February 17, 2017 Share #9 Posted February 17, 2017 Nice pictures brill64. What lenses did you take to photograph the temples, and what lenses, if any, you wished you had brought with you? Thanks. Javier
brill64 Posted February 18, 2017 Author Share #10 Posted February 18, 2017 thanks Javier - the above were shot with an m-240+28 Summicron asph v.1, except for #5 & #6 which were made using a T+18-56. I had a 50 summicron (a favorite for portraits) & 18sem in my bag but didn't use either on that trip. the 28 summicron sufficed for most locations. if i hadn't the T+zoom or the 50 summicron in my bag, i think a 75 summicron would have been useful. ejd Posted February 20, 2017 Share #11 Posted February 20, 2017 Yes, indeed, very nice set of photographs. The light in the first three is particularly striking.
Doc748 Posted February 20, 2017 Share #12 Posted February 20, 2017 Thank you brill64 for the information on lenses used. I have a 28mm elmarit version iv that I may bring along with the 35mm and 50mm Summilux. Javier
