Graffiti and street art – open thread

I've seen bits of graffiti and bits of sanctioned street art posted. How about an open thread? The German-language thread Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti... seems to be a mix of both.

I like the claim of "fake".

You get away with it adding some more context.

Thanks David. It raises a good question, about street photography not being photography on the street, but instead something about the human condition. When does street art tell us something about that? Perhaps when it's not what we've seen before and we imagine something about the artists and their ideas.

Mark, what's been done to those control boxes or bins is hilarious. I've not seen that before.

I very much like the note of caution at the cross-walk, a little holding back. Well spotted.

I completely agree.  I thought I didn't photograph much street art as I too consider it just documenting someone else's work.

Then I realised I had a fair bit of 'contextualised street art photography' ;-)
