That sets the benchmark for others that are facing S troubles! Let's see if they oblige.
Jeff S Posted October 18, 2016 Share #5 Posted October 18, 2016 That sets the benchmark for others that are facing S troubles! That's a pretty low bar for a benchmark gesture. I think other folks who have posted about multiple lens failures, covering months of service on each, might not all be so enthused. Communicating the exact nature of the problem, along with steps being taken to solve it, might be a better 'gesture'. Glad that Neil is happy, though.....he has a lot of resilience. It was a two week turnaround door to door to get the AF on my 120/2.5 replaced, I live in Europe. john
Jeff S Posted October 19, 2016 Share #9 Posted October 19, 2016 It was a two week turnaround door to door to get the AF on my 120/2.5 replaced, I live in Europe. I'm sure that will thrill the others, too. Jeff
jaapv Posted October 19, 2016 Share #10 Posted October 19, 2016 Are the still handing out those surplus books? It must be years. Funny USB stick, though. . I still miss the Leica Gummibärchen .
Herr Barnack Posted October 19, 2016 Share #11 Posted October 19, 2016 Cartier-Bresson wouldn't stand for this. Who?? Photography would not be the same without the contributions of Cartier-Bresson. It was he who invented the phrase, "Courses for horses."

leicapages Posted November 2, 2016 Share #15 Posted November 2, 2016 Just got my S 007 and Vario back from Leica after inspection and cleaning. Turnaround time including shipment on both ends was 14 days. Regrettably, no goodies accompagnied the gear
hoppyman Posted November 5, 2016 Share #16 Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) Are the still handing out those surplus books? It must be years. Funny USB stick, though. . I still miss the Leica Gummibärchen .The M USB stick was part of the Press Kit at the centenary as well. A neat way to provide copies of the documents but also some printable iconic photographs, images of every camera model etc too. I guess they were used at Photokina as well? There could be a collection, TUSB, QUSB, SLUSB, SUSB?? The SUSBc for the new MacBook Pro's could have a titanium keychain and 128GB at least ;-) Edited November 5, 2016 by hoppyman
erlingmm Posted November 7, 2016 Share #17 Posted November 7, 2016 Got my Vario 30-90 back from Leica today, AF repair, zoom adjustment, 2-week turnaround assisted by Norwegian Leica agent. No present.

These are no longer pro machines I am afraid
hoppyman Posted November 8, 2016 Share #19 Posted November 8, 2016 Haah, well you wont be able to put an SD card in the New MacBook Pro but there will probably be some kind of stylish, expensive, inconvenient adapter for Thunderbolt 3 to use all of the millions of now incompatible USB devices and SD cards
