As an said, is it just me or do others find the 'auto correction' system to be more frustrating than its worth? Can someone please turn it off as I'm pretty sure that errors have increased rather than decreased as a result of it?

That is a setting of the browser or the operating system. The forum has no control over the spell checking and the auto correction done to the posts.

Thanks - looks like I'm stuck with it then :( . Safari - can't see any way to disable, but if anyone knows of one please do post!

Safari browser on a Mac?

"Disable auto correct in Safari?

...go into System Preferences and click on the link for spelling.

There will be a check box to disable system wide spell checking.

Uncheck that, and you should be rid of that problem."

Or to disable the auto-correction in Apple Lion Safari, from

Edit > Spelling and Grammer > Check Spelling Automatically.
