It is rare the FILCA NEW YORK?

I could say.

A greeting.

The two Leitz Agfa cassettes on the left are variations on the Leica FILCA D which seems to be very rare, if it exists at all. I raised some queries about the FILCA D on this forum some time back but did not get a definitive answer. It seems that the Leica FILCA D quickly became the Leitz Agfa cassette. I am not sure how rare the Leitz Agfa cassette is. Perhaps other members could add some information.

The cassette on the right with the New York markings is probably a FILCA B. I would have to see the other side of the cassette to be sure. I have not seen a FILCA B with New York markings before. Jim Lager does mention a New York version on page 220 of his Leica Accessories book and says that they were marketed between 1940 and 1946. He shows a photo of one on that page. The previous page, 219, also shows pictures of various types of FILCA.
