alan mcfall Posted September 27, 2016 Share #3 Posted September 27, 2016 Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! My contribution. It seems the one on the left may be prewar as this product was introduced in 1933. The features have nickel finish, and has the red glass window. The later models have chrome knobs and metal parts, and some do not have the red glass window. The early model use a light switch marked "Licht", the later models use a bulb indicator on the white button. michaelwj Posted September 28, 2016 Share #4 Posted September 28, 2016 Excuse my ignorance, but are these for duplicating film? It looks like there is one film in the dark and one in the light?
luigi bertolotti Posted September 28, 2016 Share #5 Posted September 28, 2016 (edited) Excuse my ignorance, but are these for duplicating film? It looks like there is one film in the dark and one in the light? Yes : better to say, more in general, to make contact prints from a 35mm rollfilm : on another negative, or a slide film, or also on a strip of 35mm paper (the "test prints" used for years by professionals to choose the pictures to be enlarged) : they were catalogued for lot of years (pre and post WWII) within the darkroom equipment section. alan mcfall Posted September 28, 2016 Share #8 Posted September 28, 2016 Laney "Leica Collectors Guide", page 40 says the condenser logo was redrawn in 1952 to the one you have the question mark under. All the letters in "WETZLAR, save the W and R are the same size. In all previous condenser logos, the letters decreased in size, with the "z" being smallest.
