svwest Posted September 21, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just realized that the Leica S2 top panel has gone blank, no sign of life. It was fine but haven't used the camera for a while and never really used the top panel for reading adjustments. Anyone had the same problem? Can't find any fix for this. Thanks sv

John McMaster Posted September 21, 2016 Share #2 Posted September 21, 2016 I assume that the batteries are charged and camera shutter releases? john
svwest Posted September 21, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted September 21, 2016 Yes, shutter releases and batteries have full power. Top panel display selected, but no life ... sv
albertknappmd Posted September 22, 2016 Share #4 Posted September 22, 2016 Bring it back to your dealer or send it to Leica... Albert
Dougg Posted September 23, 2016 Share #5 Posted September 23, 2016 This may be the known issue with the S2's OLED top cover display... Symptom is gradual dimming to the point of becoming unreadable. Mine went in for free replacement of that screen in the Fall of 2011 and came back a month later. Send it in!

The OP posted over four years ago and hasn’t posted again since May 2020. Post #5 suggests one resolution, but not clear it’s the same fault. Best to contact your dealer or Leica.
