Advertisement Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Hi MediaFotografie, Take a look here SL-50: that's not really true.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
steppenw0lf Posted August 24, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) Why don't you write them an email. They will know best. Wilson expected 4000 pound which is more than enough. So I hope for less, maybe about the price of the Summilux-M 50 or a bit lower. Who knows ? Edited August 24, 2016 by steppenw0lf

I did it still waiting for the answer; at photokina we will know much more about the new SL lens surely
thighslapper Posted August 24, 2016 Share #4 Posted August 24, 2016 That's the sort of price posted when you don't know what it will be and don't expect anyone daft enough to actually purchase and pay ...... all the sites posted (and there is one other) are clearly linked. No one else on the web has a price .... even a speculative one. Given the complexity of the 90-280 it is hard to see how it could be much more expensive than that, even with some exotic glass and expensive assembly. At 9999 Euros there will be precious few buyers ....... even me, with more money than sense, would pass at that price.
Jeff S Posted August 24, 2016 Share #5 Posted August 24, 2016 Wilson expected 4000 pound which is more than enough. That's a much heavier lens than I anticipated. Jeff
FlashGordonPhotography Posted August 24, 2016 Share #6 Posted August 24, 2016 More than a Noctilux or the 90-280? If it's really 10K Euros then I think Leica can kiss any hope of getting a foothold in the *professional* market goodbye. That'd be 3 times the cost of the Otus 55mm. Just for AF? Guest VVJ Posted August 25, 2016 Share #10 Posted August 25, 2016 (edited) SL then APO cron --sky is the limit; wait ! is it sky that is crashing?or it is me having free fall. The price of the 50mm APO is $7,795 and that price was jacked up a few times to get there... If the SL 50mm is truly good (which I suspect it will be) the same thing will happen... I don't expect Leica to introduce the lens though at such a high price. That would be equivalent to prematurely killing a very promising system...
