120fps video file frame rate change

Hi guys,

I filmed my son's soccer game today at 120 fps so I could get some good slow motion clips.

However now I have got the files on my machine, the properties they are listed as 29.97 fps rather than 120.

So if you play them normal speed they are very slow.

I am trying to mix them with a few clips I took at 240 fps on an iPhone in Final Cut Pro X.

My project is 25fps and it is doing my head in trying to work out how much I have to speed the SL videos up by so they look normal.

The iPhone files are working perfectly.

Is it a bug that the camera is not properly recording the correct frame rate inside the files?

How can I convert the files to be 120 fps before I import them to Final Cut?

(not re-encode, just keep the exact same number of frames!)

Thanks in advance!!!

After downloading a number of freeware and other similar products that charge a small fee, I couldn't find anything that could handle the 120 fps files without having to pay.

I have just found out that I might be able to use Compressor which is an Apple program add on to Final Cut Pro X.

The best bit is I own that already.

I will have a play with it tonight when I get back to my machine!

120fps IS slow motion, when one plays back at NTSC or pal [29.97 or 25] it will play deliciously slow...try 250% to 300% speed up in FCP

also, try opening the files in quicktime PRO, see the properties..you can set a flag to mark it 120fps
