C112 over-exposing and taking double photographs

I have finally got round to sorting my .RWL/C112 images and converting them  to .JPEG from my trip earlier this year to Myanmar. On converting my SL DNG's from Myanmar, I was often not just pulling up the shadow detail but also increasing exposure by around a quarter stop in a lot of its images (exposure seems noticeably more accurate on FW 2.0 and 2.1 but Myanmar was all on FW 1.2). In contrast, on many of the C112 shots, I have either had to pull down highlights or reduce exposure by half a stop and often more. I have the metering set to whole frame but I notice I have had intelligent exposure set to "off" and I wonder if that is the issue. I have also changed the exposure to centre weighted since getting back. I am converting the .RWL images using Capture One using the C112 specific camera profile.

I also have a huge number of duplicate shots. Obviously when first downloaded, I had the in camera JPEG's as well as the .RWL/RAW images. I shuffled off these JPEG's to an external drive, until I was sure they were not needed and could be deleted. Are others having problems with the C112 taking multiple images, even when set to single image, as I always have it set? I would guess that 30-40% of my images had a duplicate taken fractions of a second after the first. I am wondering if it is just the shutter button that is very sensitive, combined with the fact that I am missing the last 10mm of my right index finger, whose skin grafted tip is also not very sensitive.

BTW I would not buy the supposedly German "DOT" lithium batteries for the C112. I bought two spares 18 months ago and they are both now losing their charge, even if not used over 10 days to two weeks, whereas the original Leica branded one will last months if not used. I will buy a genuine pair of Panasonic DMW-BCN10's to replace these duds.
