Big T Posted August 2, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 2, 2016 I heard this also from another website, can someone verify this ? I haven't updated my Q yet. Been using the Q with V2.0 for a few days now and must say I haven't noticed any difference. I shall check it out further today.
SonomaBear Posted August 3, 2016 Share #4 Posted August 3, 2016 Using 2.0 since its 1st day, no issues on WB. I don't shoot jpg at all. The DNGs look great (maybe even better than 1.1)
stefanusj Posted August 3, 2016 Share #5 Posted August 3, 2016 WB, i think its the same or better at 2.0
Voxen Posted August 3, 2016 Share #6 Posted August 3, 2016 Using 2.0 since its 1st day, no issues on WB. I don't shoot jpg at all. The DNGs look great (maybe even better than 1.1) WB has no impact on DNG, so obviously you can't see any difference
stantius Posted August 3, 2016 Share #7 Posted August 3, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) The update resets all kind of settings. Any JPG settings you had before probably have been reset to factory default.
Iduna Posted August 4, 2016 Share #8 Posted August 4, 2016 Stantius is right. with installing the new firmware all other former settings are being deleted. If you shoot jpg you have to check all your Settings. If you shoot DNG Raw files those settings for jpgs do not effect the DNG results. But try out first which jpg results you really need, because with the new firmware the improvement affects the whole performance. I did not find any faults here. It works perfectly well. Good luck!
malu Posted August 4, 2016 Share #9 Posted August 4, 2016 White balance for me was good before the update and for sure didn`t change to worse. JPG i think are a bit different now. Before I had my settings always to lower contrast and saturation normal. Now I have changed to normal contrast (saturation still normal). Many users didn`t like the quality of JPG before the update (sometimes me too), and I don`t know if this has changed now. By the way: sorry for the mistakes, but german is my mother language and I don`t speak a very good english.
