Northwest Wanderer Posted July 29, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I took this bighorn image at the National Bison Range in Montana. This old ram has the looks of a seasoned fighter. The ends of this horns are broken off so he can see to the side without obstruction. His hide is scared from many years of fighting. No doubt he's an old timer. Cheers to him. VL 114 Welcome, dear visitor! Northwest Wanderer Posted July 30, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted July 30, 2016 Thank you Stuart. I used the intelligent zoom feature of the VL 114 to take this image. With it I was able to get the magnification needed without the image loosing sharpness. At times I'm still amazed at what this camera can do. war Posted July 30, 2016 Share #4 Posted July 30, 2016 This is a beautiful image showing the imperfections found in nature. I have great respect for this old fellow. Looks like an encounter with a barbed wire fence in his past too.
