Stealth3kpl Posted July 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 25, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Don't blame me if it goes wrong but I just noticed this on eBay. No connection. Looks to be a bargain. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Leica-Leitz-Noctilux-M-F0-95-1-0-95-50mm-ASPH-Mint-Boxed-/272319480805?hash=item3f678183e5:g:dH4AAOSwtnpXjjdG Pete

Peter Kilmister Posted July 25, 2016 Share #4 Posted July 25, 2016 If you want a Noctilux this is a bargain. Pay via PayPal and you are 100% safe.
Keith (M) Posted July 25, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 25, 2016 (edited) If you want a Noctilux this is a bargain. Pay via PayPal and you are 100% safe. Hmm, but what about that "pay direct to his Paypal email address" bit? PAYMENT NOTE: BECAUSE OF THE HIGH AMOUNT AND TO AVOID ANY LIMITATIONS, PAYPAL PAYMENT DIRECTLY TO MY PAYPAL EMAIL. satijntje Posted July 25, 2016 Share #6 Posted July 25, 2016 No Personal pick up in Hull. Strange Paypal payment restrictions Sellers history is not really one would expect. So the only conclusion that one can make is that its a fake! John

Peter Kilmister Posted July 25, 2016 Share #8 Posted July 25, 2016 PayPal payment directly to a seller's email account is perfectly normal. You might not be paranoid but it doesn't stop people trying to get you. PayPal are brilliant at protecting buyers. I know. I have been saved by them when trying to buy false items. P.S. Not surprised it sold. A bargain ... even if its false.
DickieT Posted July 26, 2016 Share #9 Posted July 26, 2016 Be careful with these "offers" on Ebay. I ran into one with a German seller (brauchichoderverkaufich) - he was very painful to deal with and rude in his correspondance. I did not proceed with the purchase and 2 days later I got a number of emails from Ebay that they had noticed my communication with this account and that it had been hacked.. just a word of caution..
Rus Posted August 1, 2016 Share #10 Posted August 1, 2016 I think direct payment to paypal means the seller could bypass the commission charges taken by ebay, although that doesn't stop paypal from charging another 5 % or so of the value of transaction.
Paulus Posted August 1, 2016 Share #11 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) I wonder if the buyer is a member of the LUF? Would be nice to know that everyting went well. Edited August 1, 2016 by Paulus
Big_g Posted August 2, 2016 Share #12 Posted August 2, 2016 I just bought mine from a dealer in London with all boxes and packing, still under rica passport until November and paid only £4600. This seemed pretty brilliant bargain to me as even unboxed examples seem to go for around £5.5k If this eBay deal was for real then it is incredible. Only problem i I am still overseas and can't use mine for another 2 weeks until I am back to collect it!!
