Advertisement (gone after registration)

Sent in my camera and lens to be looked at, can't get an answer out of Bill at service. The guy doesn't answer calls or emails, had to go through another person to get any information about my camera, and nothing since.

 

Does Leica usually take camera and lens hostage for service?

My camera and lens were returned but with absolutely no contact from Leica service, no reply, no shipping notification.

My camera sat out on my front steps for an entire day until I got home from work, had anyone known the value of that box I might be without a camera.

Sad thing would be that I would never have known it was stolen.

To them it's just a box that requires attention, the retail cost has no bearing.. Did you contact said Service Department and make your feelings known? A pretty bad show on their part...I hope the repairs where successful and your equipment is firing on all shutter speeds..
