Vieri Posted July 13, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) The view from the Old man of Storr is a classic one on the Isle of Skye, in Scotland, and for a reason. Hiking towards the top of the Old Man, I noticed a storm coming up, and put the fast moving clouds to a good use in a composition where all the lines converge towards the Old Man itself. Furthermore, a long exposure allowed me to create a contrast between the immateriality of the clouds and the unmovable strength and permanence of the Old Man. With the Leica SL and 24-90mm Vario-Elmarit. Thanks for viewing, best Vieri

Vieri Posted August 2, 2016 Author Share #15 Posted August 2, 2016 Vieri, excellent frame and drama! Very inspiring too! Thank you very much Iduna, the Old Man is indeed a very dramatic place - the view from up there is simply something else! I am glad you found it of inspiration This gives the appearance of a wizard at work, very nice B/W. Kaethe, Skye's landscapes are beautiful and look like out of a movie (and they have been used for many, probably this is why!), and the weather does the rest Can't wait to be there again next year! Makes me want to visit there and see something so amazing to photograph. Stonewall Brigade, thank you very much for your comment, I am glad if my image inspired you to want to go there! Skye is a must-go place if you love landscapes, I hope you'll make the trip someday Best, Vieri
