MEB Posted July 8, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 8, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) This fellow was outside my office door when I left work to go home. I had my camera with me and I started taking pictures and instead of running away as they always do, he seemed curious. He let me get withing 5 meters even though he could get away at any time. He may have been young...I couldn't tell but I was surprised that he let me get so close for so long. I wish I had a longer lens but this was the best I had. Leica SL with SL 24-90. Lightroom CC 2015. Thanks, Mark Welcome, dear visitor! Northwest Wanderer Posted July 8, 2016 Share #3 Posted July 8, 2016 The woodchuck looks healthy so I imagine you're correct about its being curious. Nice capture. You can clearly see its beaver like teeth.
fotografr Posted July 10, 2016 Share #4 Posted July 10, 2016 It looks a bit unhappy with your presence. I don't think I'd have ventured any closer. Nice shot.
war Posted July 10, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 10, 2016 You're lucky to have this fellow outside your office door, I've got concrete and pigeons. Nice capture.
platypus Posted July 11, 2016 Share #6 Posted July 11, 2016 It certainly looks to be on the defensive, a good shot of an interesting little critter, I don't think I've seen a photo of one previously.
John Basso Posted July 11, 2016 Share #7 Posted July 11, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) A vg shot of the woodchuck as they are usually very shy and take off in a hurry. John Basso.
microview Posted July 17, 2016 Share #8 Posted July 17, 2016 Who came up with the doggerel "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" (Nice pic BTW.)
