war Posted July 5, 2016 Share #3 Posted July 5, 2016 Nice photos. We have some proposals for projects in Chicago by Bjarke Ingels but nothing built yet.
spylaw4 Posted July 12, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) We have some proposals for projects in Chicago by Bjarke Ingels but nothing built yet. That's the whole idea of the annual Pavilion. Every architect has yet to build something in the UK, so it exposes us to their work. A new commission every year on the site open from June - October. I try to visit every year to take some photographs. http://www.serpentinegalleries.org/explore/pavilion for a look at past Pavilions Edited July 12, 2016 by spylaw4

We just had the inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial. As part of it, there were some similar temporary kiosks by "outsider" architects. The Biennial introduced the work of 100 individuals and firms from around the world who would otherwise not get international exposure. The star-chitects were appropriately relegated to the sidelines.
ShawnK Posted July 14, 2016 Share #6 Posted July 14, 2016 (edited) + for #2. for me too. Can't wait to see what Bjarke Ingles' NY building "Courtscraper" will feel upon total completion, talented young man & his firm.
