Wayne Posted June 28, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica II, Hektor 50mm 2.5, Tri-X Ducks waddling along in a row is one thing that, when I see it, always makes me stop whatever I am doing and chuckle. In my view it is one of natures true treats. The problems is that, in past, I seem never to have a camera handy. In this case I was visiting my daughter with a new/used Leica II and Hektor lens that I had just picked up at the post office before I left for her apartment. I had loaded the first roll of Tri-X and had no idea as to the reliability of camera or lens. It was early morning and about the only thing that went right was the fact that I had the cap off of the lens, and the troubled shutter mechanism worked well enough to expose part of the scene correctly. But, as sometimes happens with these old Leicas, when they fail to operate perfectly, they give you a memory more vivid than if everything had gone as intended. Welcome, dear visitor!
