Wayne Posted June 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I swear, I have tried to find out on my own......Can anyone verify that the lens cap for this lens is the 63mm version?
Advertisement Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Hi Wayne, Take a look here Lens cap size for 90mm summicron ltm VI. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
spydrxx Posted June 25, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2016 I checked Puts' Compendium, but he doesn't say. He does indicate that the proper filter size is E48 however. Personally I'd put a vernier caliper on it to see what it says, or if you have handy a bunch of old plastic lens caps try a few in the suspected range. luigi bertolotti Posted June 26, 2016 Share #3 Posted June 26, 2016 I'd say that it's 63,5 mm... 63mm is the (almost identical) lens cap for Hektor 12,5 and Summarex 8,5... fact is that a small difference exists... if I try to mount my Summarex cap onto my Summicron LTM, it is clear that it is not made for it... even if the felt strip gives a certain degree of tolerancing... anyway, codes were different : - ORPNO then 14040 : chrome lens caps for Summarex 8,5 and Hektor 12,5 - OQWCO then 14028 : chrome lens cap for Summicron 90mm
