Fotoklaus Posted June 26, 2016 Share #21 Posted June 26, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I own both. My M3 is almost a collectors item for me because of its good condition and being the first Leica-M- camera. For general purpose I go with my M2, as it has a wonderful finder with framelines for 35,50 and 90mm. The M3 starts at 50 and is not able to show framelines for a 35mm- lens. So I'd go for the M2. Mechanically they are the same under the Topplate. Superb made Cameras from the chrome and brass- Era.
