leicapages Posted June 5, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am experiencing what I think is a difference between the S Type 006 and 007 in terms of matrix light metering. I am often getting slightly overexposed images (resulting in slightly washed out images) with the 006 matrix metering, while this is much less the case with the 007 under similar conditions (typically scenes with darker motives). I was not really paying too much attention until after I could test-drive an S Type 007 for a while. Of course, I am aware that I could use spot metering but I am wondering if it is just me or others having noticed this as well. Thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks. John McMaster Posted June 5, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2016 The first few times I used my S2 (manual exposure) everything was overexposed slightly, changed to spot metering on day 3 and been there ever since ;-) I did not get on with the centre weighted either, it was too different from M cameras... john
