Steve Ricoh Posted May 29, 2016 Share #6 Posted May 29, 2016 Outdoors using sunny 16 in California, or sunny f11 or f8 in Northern Europe is one thing, guessing indoors is masterly work in my opinion. Do you look at the tones in a scene, skin tones in this shot, and make a decision? I'm always keen to learn.
the warrior Posted May 29, 2016 Author Share #7 Posted May 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I always start by looking at the highlights, not to burn anything, and whenever possible f2.8 or f4 will, and of course the speed varies between 1/125 - 1/500.Never mean anything, always I look at the brighter, lights except at night because there are lampposts and shop windows, but it depends on what I look for.
