Robert M Poole Posted May 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) A couple of weeks ago I was with my family in a town on the outskirts of London called Teddington. Near to our hotel was Bushy Park which leads up to Hampton Court Palace, home of Henry VIII. I haven't been to the park before so was surprised to see a herd of deer. They live wild in the park which is surrounded by houses and only half an hour from central London. There are signs up stating that the deer are wild and not to feed them but people seem to ignore it and the deer have become quite used to humans, taking food from their hands. I recently wrote a short blog post on "Happy accidents" and I suppose this shot could fit into this category. I was lining up to take a shot of this stag, standing majestic under the dappled light of the tree when a small girl ran up clutching a branch from a nearby tree to feed it. I was cursing her for ruining my shot but when I got home and looked at it on the screen I actually really like it! Let me know what you think. M9, 50mm Summarit.
