Which video camera to shoot with leica lenses?

I'm not really sure under which thread I should be posting this other.

I'm looking for a more dedicated video camera setup to go along with my M240 where I can use my already substantial collection of lenses...

I've shot some video with the M240, but I feel as if it is hitting a wall.  The files are very difficult to color grade using Davinci Resolve.   It also begins to get really noisy after reaching 800 iso.

I've thought about the Sony A7Sii and the GH4.  However, with the A7Sii, I'm quite concerned about using my wider lenses like the 18mm (or any lens wider than 35mm).  With the GH4 though, I wouldn't get the same field of view that I'm use to.

I'm curious to hear what people use to shoot video.  Or is it a terrible idea to use M-mount lenses to shoot video.

I think you really want a full frame camera to get the best out of Lecia lenses- so I would be thinking Sony. On a crop camera you will have a hard time going ultra 18mm wide angle anyhow... Your wides would be more like standard lenses. So either way you will have trouble with wide angle lenses- but at least with the Sony all your other lenses will fully utilised.

Unless you're prepared to purchase a video camera that shoots uncompressed there are going to be colour grading limitations, best dealt with by getting it right in the camera.

I don't know about you, but at a shutter speed of 1/50th to 1/60th of a second, I'm more likely to be reaching for a neutral density filter than worrying about ISO 800. At 800 - indeed below 800 - I'd be adding light.

Neither of these issues is about what brand of lenses you use.
